Marie,

My McCarrons were from County Tyrone. Donegal and Tyrone were where most McCarrons lived. We may have a connection, but it would be way back. The farthest back I can go is Felix McCarron and Anna McMenamin of Dromore Parish in Tyrone. They married in 1855 and at least eight of their children emigrated, winding up first in Lowell, Massachusetts. Ellen, Patrick (who may have been baptized Hugh), Anthony (my great grandfather), Felix Jr., James, Mary, Michael, and Joseph (the one who eventually moved to California). Two other daughters, Anna and Brigit also may have come to Lowell. The immigrations were all in the latter part of the 19th century.

Aside from the different counties of origin, I think any connection is remote because I don't see the normal repetition of names between your McCarrons and mine (except of course for Mary - every Irish family had a Mary). Good luck in your research.

Bill
