I've been trying to get hold of Robin McCarley because I have someone in a different McCarley line who is interested in participating in the DNA project.
But then it occurred to me that Robin is at LSU--is that in New Orleans? Does anyone know if he's okay? And if so, where he is?
He may be just dislocated or involved in rescue efforts. If that's the case, does anyone else know who should be contacted about getting Mr. Kay McCarley tested?
According to Louise Hart Crenshaw, Kay McCarley is a descendant of a Moses McCarley, b. 1708. Her genealogy report shows several of his immediate descendants in the Spartanburg District of South Carolina, which leads me to believe that their McCarley line and mine are closely connected.
According to an earlier message of Robin's, my line (shown I think as George W. McCarley b. 1814) has already been tested and has been shown to be related to 3 others. I'm thinking Louise's and Kay's ought to make a 5th in that group.
