I'm not sure any of this will help you. From old Killeeshil Parish records that I have read at a LDS Family History Center - there were many McCanns in this area. My paternal great-greatgrandmother was Margaret McCann, born Feb. 9, 1820, daughter of Edward McCann & Susan Cummins McCann (per her death certificate). Margaret married John Whitfield in Clonfeacle Parish, County Tyrone, Ireland on Jan. 16, 1838. Their daughter, Mary Ann, was baptised in Killeeshil Parish, Dungannon Lower Barony, County Tyrone in 1847. Margaret McCann & John Whitfield, with 3 children, arrived in Philadelphia in 1850 & eventually moved to Stuart, Iowa where her brothr George McCann and gone. Margaret McCann Whitfield had a sister Ellen McCann who married a Masterson & emigrated to America via Philadelphia & also moved to Stuart, Iowa. Another sister, Ann McCann, married a Ryan & remained in Co. Tyrone but 4 of her children came to Philadelphia & on to Iowa.
