Hello! I am the granddaughter of Nellie MCCance and I would love to speak to you. Nellie remarried after her marriage with Wendling and married my grand father, George Thomas. They moved to California - northern - and lived for some time on the old Seabiscuit ranch where my sister still ranches. Nellie had a child by her marriage to Wendling, a son who was a very talented musician and singer...he had made some records also. I have recordings of him and can send them to you alongwith some old photos of the bands he was in. He had some health problems - he was a hunchback and died in his early thirties. Nellie loved him very much and never got over his death. She did live to her early 90's though and was a very active lady - I know because I lived with her for a few summers during the 70's and she could out garden and out walk most of us younger folks!
