Janice, After reading James d 1801 will I would put James as the third son with Thomas being the elder. Common practice was to name the sons per age in the will.
On roots web under John McCallister entry 52762 there is a new theory on John and Mary Kincade. John Jr may have married Mary Kincade not John Sr. Leslie McConachie does provide documentation.
Maybe we really need to investigate all of the court documents related to James d 1801 will. James d 1801 will mentione James as a son and gives to James all which legacies I do bind to my different legatees. Does this mean James family is to share equally.
Is there a marriage date for James and Hanna and how do we know Hanna was a McClain? James certainly seems to be alive in James d 1801 made his will but was deceased when Hanna signed.
