I went back over my misc. McCallister stuff and found this which may be helpful -- if you don't have it already:

CENSUS: 1810; VA; Bath Co. p. 440 image #9 [The first 3 living next door to each other]

McCollister, John 50010 / 00010 (5m under 10, 1 m 26-44, 1 f 16-25, no slaves)

McCollister, William 00010 / 20100 (1 m 26-44, 2 f under 10, 1 f 16-25, no slaves)

McCollister, Thomas (1 m 45 & over not sure about females in household.)

[Still on image #9, but not next door]
James McCollister (2 m under 10, 1 male 16-25, 1 m 45 & over not sure about females in household.)

Thomas was the son of James McCallister Sr. (Clan McAllister J04) It looks as if the James on the census was Thomas' brother James Jr. alive and well in 1810.

Janice
