I do have the line of McCalls that you are speaking of.With Sir John being the first generation and establihing the McCalls in Ireland after marrying Mary Richardson. Their first born was Robert born 1542 who married Hazel Caldwell. Their children were George, Walter, Nancy and John born 1591 who first married Elizabeth Snell and 2nd to Jane Aiken.John's children 1rst marriage was Elizabeth born at sea married John Erwin. 2nd marriage children John 1630 married Mary Smith; Mary born 1643 married John Sewell. 4th Generation: John McCall Married Mary Smith. They had one son George who married Martha Moore the 5th Generation with their children being John 1698, Mary 1701 and George II 1706. John 1698 then married Helen Moore They emigrated back to Ireland and their children were John 1745, Mary 1747, Jessie 1750, and Robert 1752 who married Elizabeth Aiken.Robert & family sailed from Clarktown in 1775 and upon reaching America made their home in Pennsylvania. When the Rev. War ended Robert and family moved to Henry County Va. There he bought land and built a home, livig there until about 1793. At that time he sold his property and moved to Burke County North Carolina on the banks of the Catawba River near what is now the Burke and Caldwell County line. He became a man of importance, owning a large acreage of land and many slaves. Robert died in 1820 and his wife Elizabeth in 1835 both being buried at Littlejohn Methodist Church in Caldwell County. They had 11 children (7 boys and 4 girls). They were: Margaret m. John Shell,William m. Mildred Holland,Samuel m. Sarah Shell,John m. Phoebe Smith, James m. Katie Kincaid, Elizabeth m. Andrew Hull Tuttle, Robert m. Lydia Gillespie, Jessie m. Benedict Bristol, Nancy never married, Henry m. Jane Rector, and Alexander m. Jane Gryder. These marriages produced a large group of descendants in Western NC especially in the Caldwell, Burke and McDowell Counties. I have in my data most of their descendants especially in Caldwell County down to the 16th generation. I hope the above is of help. I welcome any questions and or corrections to this information. Sincerely WLT
