Alot of these messages are several years old, and I cannot get a hold of the people who posted them. BUT.... My GGGrandmother is Elizabeth 'Lizzie' McCalip/McCaleb. I have info on her, though not much. After searching these message boards and the AR censuses, I believe my Lizzie is the daughter of James and Susan McCaleb/McCalip. I also believe that James and Susan McCaleb are the same James N. McCaleb and Susannah Hope that left children behind in TN. I have James and Susan McCaleb on the 1880 and 1870 Scott Co., AR censuses. On the 1880 census, it lists an Elizabeth McCaleb as a daughter. James and Susan McCaleb are listed on the 1900 Choctaw Nation, I.T. census, as well. They were both 71 years old! My Elizabeth 'Lizzie' McCaleb/McCalip lived in the Choctaw Nation in the late 1880's-1900's. All her children by William (Will or Bill) Blankenship were born there in South McAlester/McAlester. I also believe that the Longs, Blankenships, and McCalebs intermarried to some degree as I have come across a Blankenship who married a Long, a Long who married a McCaleb, and a Blankenship who married a McCaleb (my line). There is a large possibility the Blankenship who married a Long is related to my Blankenship. My Blankenship married Elizabeth McCaleb. There is another McCaleb, possible sister or cousin to Elizabeth, who married a Long. I have also ran across a a 5 years old message stating their Pollie McCaleb married a Blankenship. Elizabeth had a sister named Pollie. If anyone has any info, please, reply. Thanks, Sarah Notify Administrator about this message?
