Hi.I noticed McCain families in early records in Arkansas, born in Tn. Mary Glaze who married Peter McCain,1797 Greene Co.,Tn.was of interest. It seems Peter McCain died (Lincoln Co.,Tn.) abt.1814? Mary Glaze's marriage bond was signed by William Glaze & Peter McCain.Interested in what became of Mary Glaze ,and if William Glaze was her father? Also noticed McCains that served in the Civil War ,in records in Arkansas. I would expect the name McCain to be of Scottish or Irish descent. The name Glaze in earliest records(Md.,S.C.,& N.C.) were also of English or Irish descent. Glazes also in later records of Pa. to Va.,were of the Klos/Kloess/Glaze & Klaiz/Glaize families,of German descent. These Glaze lines seem not to be related. Have been unable to verify descendants of Peter & Mary nee Glaze McCain, however interested in any proof as to the ancestors of Mary Glaze and any Peter McCain descendants. Could Buck McCain have been descended from the McCain families of early Tn.,as East Tennesse was formed from North Carolina? Have you been able to find Buck McCain in census recoreds in Arkansas,as it was said, the late Peter McCain had a brother who removed from Tn.to Arkansas?
