Carolyn,I am not sure if it is a match, however, if you do come across any information, I would appreciate hearing of it.I forgot to include dates for my ancestors. My Bernard McCaffrey was born about 1842 in Ireland & his wife, Winifred was born about 1847 in Ireland.I don't know if they married in Ireland or the states, nor do I know when they arrived in the states.
Bernard & Winifred's children were born- Simon, b. 1874, Thomas, b. 1878, and Bernard, b. 1880, all in PA.They had a daughter, Mary, born after Bernard, but I don't know anything of her except her name "Mary".
I found the sons- Thomas & Bernard living with their Gillen cousins in Baltimore, MD in the 1900 census. They worked in the shipyards in Sparrows Point, MD.I have not yet located Bernard & Winifred, nor chiildren Simon or Mary in the 1900 census.
My great great grandmother was named Catherine Elizabeth McAffrey & she was born in Ireland & immigrated to the U.S. with her parents & siblings.I know she is related somehow to Bernard, thomas & Simon & Mary McCaffrey---either their sister or aunt. She married Michael John Landrigan date uknown & they had children: Sarah, b. unknown, Elizabeth, b. 1867, Mary Ellen, b. 1868 who is my g. grandmother, William, b. 1871 and Alice, b. 1874.I know Michael Landrigan & an Unknown McCaffrey are buried in the CAtholic Cemetery in Steelton, PA.This is about all I know---small bits & pieces of information. Thanks for any help/ideas!
