My Grandfather's name was James McCafferty and he married my Grandmother, Winifred Connor. They lived in Paisley. He may have been a brother of your Mary because we have the same family names running in our family. My grandfather named his children Mary, George, Robert, James, Sarah, Henry and Margaret. My Grandfather, James, was killed in World War I and is buried somewhere in France. My Grandmother left Paisley in the 1920's and brought her children to Kearny, New Jersey in America.

I, too, am trying to trace my family roots. Unfortunately, we have no information about James'parents (my Great-grandparents). If you know that your James moved to Paisley, I would appreciate knowing and any info that you could furnish me with about his parents would be appreciated.

Thank you.
