Looking for info on William Laughlin McBurney, supposedly born in this country Dec. 2, 1805. He married Katherine Hier, and they had 4 children; Margaret, Mary Emeline, Alexander, and William Hier, all borm in Penn. Katherine died 3 days after the birth of Wm. Hier, in 1851. Wm. Laughlin then married Abigail in 1853,and together they had 3 children; Emma Jane, Katherine Louise, and Olive M. Eventually, the family moved to Crawford County, Wisconsin.

I am looking for info on William Laughlin McBurney, who his parents were, where they may emigrated from, where he was born, etc.

Also, I am trying to find info on his son Alexander, who served in the Civil War, but not as part of a unit from Wisconsin. If you have any leads, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks. Susan Oshman
