I also realise this is now at least a year since your post- hopefully you can help. I am Taryn's cousin also researching along the same family lines as her. I am trying to find info on Edward Samuel McBurney's father. From what I know of Edward he was married to Emmaline May Brown (born 1879 Dalton died 1 June 1954) in Bangalow 25 July 1906. Edward's father Robert McBurney is according to family legend from Edinborough Scotland (but again it is legend not solid info) and he was married to a lady named Mary Jane Oeschger or Dorrough who was from Cork Ireland and it was her second marriage (she had a child to first husband, named Joseph). Most of this is info from my nana who is bit shakey on her names etc. Robert is said to have arrived in Australia when he was about 18 yrs. That is about all the nfo I know on them- if you have any other information or knowledge on this family please reply- anything would be appreciated! Thankyou! Chelita
