Hmph, I'm a "real" McBurney and I live in the USA. I have several Irish relatives all of whom either burned their records before they left or were part of an immaculate conception that has, so far, gone unoticed by most historians. This is a real long shot, but if your reords have a Charles McBurney born around 1834 and in America by the 1850's, I'd love to hear from you.
