Hi! Ive just rejoined the forum after a long break and losing my old ID! Regarding the old McBurneys being kicke dout of Ireland, they werent as some of my family are still there. My Grandad was born in 1907 in Kilkeel, Southern Ireland and moved to England before WW2. He died in the house he bought in 1936 in Bristol, aged 76 in 1983. My Grandmother was still in contact with his descendants in Ireland until she died on Christmas day 2004. My uncle, her son, is still in contact. I have many documenst relating to the epople includinga family bible dated 1844, belonging to a Wiliam McBurney, which then has a comprehensive Births , Marriages and Deaths section in the front filled in as the years went by. The last entry seems to be circa 1901. If any of this is of any help id be happy to help with any questions.

By the way, Im a "real" born McBurney and live in Bristol UK.
