My grandmother, Irene Mott, was born in Lost Springs, Kansas. Her mother was a McBurney - I believe Cora. She is from the same line as you. Her McBurney's were descended from the Supplee's who had originated in Kentucky.
I have done some research on the the Supplee's. It looks like a French Huguenot - Andris De Saint-Souplis emigrated to Philadelpia in the late 1600's. The name Souplis was Americanized to Supplee. It would be the same pronounciation, just an more anglized spelling.
We may well be be related, going back aways!
