I had a gr gr gr grandfather named william laughlin mcburney, born in america in 1802, married a kathrine hier, had several children in PA, remarried after his wife died to a woman who's last name was young, I believe...had a few more kids, then moved to Wisconsin, where he died in 1869. It does not sound like a connection to yours, but for as difficult as it has been to trace down this individual, I am beginning to think anything is possible. I know nothing of his parents, where they came from, or anything else. Thought I'd take a chance and see if any of it seemed like a potential connection. Thanks.
