Hi Vicki, Just curious...when did Easter die and where is she buried? Also, another interesting thing....I found Amos A. Howell (age 45), Easter, age 50 and children Charles A. (age 17) and Sabina R. G. (age 14) in the 1870 Grasshopper Township, Atchison County, Kansas census (page 279, dwelling 5.) On Ancestry.com, Amos A. Howell were also listed in the 1859 Grasshopper Township, Atchison County, KS census index. Well, Cyrus Dougan's (and my John Dougan's) brother, James Dougan was listed in the 1859 Mt. Pleasant township, Atchison County, KS census index...James and family actually moved to Platte County, Missouri first (about 1845) and then lived in Atchison county/Leavenworth County, KS after that--they were on the border of both counties. James Dougan died in Atchison County about 1869--I've been unable to find his grave. John Dougan's daughter (and Cyrus and James Dougan's niece) Margaret (my husband's 3x's ggrandmother) moved to Leavenworth County, Kansas after her husband's death in 1865 in Fayette County, PA. Interesting that so many associated names moved to the same area of Kansas around the same time:):)
So nice to correspond with you--it may turn up a few leads!:):)
Thanks so much!
Alison
