Hi Vicki, Thank you for your reply....I didn't know when Esther McBurney married Amos Howell. I haven't proven anything about Cyrus Dougan yet (although I found him married in the 1840 census and as a witness to his uncle's will.) The journal I have states all of my direct ancestor John Dougan's siblings and who they married--Cyrus is John's brother. I have proven most of the other siblings and their marraiges from other family histories or burial records (or the 1850 census on up:) Just have the journal to go on right now about Cyrus and Esther McBurney's marraige....Had you heard about Cyrus Dougan before?

I can't get to Fayette county to research personally (wish I could) so maybe someday I will turn something up:)
