James McBurney, Belfast, 1951.

My maiden name is McBurney, daughter of James McBurney from Belfast, Ireland and who imigrated to South Africa; son of James and Thomasina McBurney. He has three sisters, Ina, Jean and Maureen. I'm very interested in finding out more of my McBurney history lineage and was wondering in anybody could help me out. Until I found this web-site I thought McBurney was a white-elephant name. I was told that I was related to the famous surgeon Charles McBurney - but he was born and raised in America and I don't know of any past relatives from America. Can anybody help me out with a family tree?
