Susan,

I am working with a Tom McBurney from Burlington WI. whose ggrandfather was John McBurney and ggrandmother was Catharine English. His grandfather, John, was listed as being born in either PA or Cleveland OH about 1879. He eventually settled in Chicago where he stayed until his death in 1917. Since Tom's grandfather died quite young, Tom knows very little about this branch of his family. We are looking for this McBurney family in the 1880 census. Do you have any clues? It sounds like your McBurney line is related to Tom's.

Look forward to hearing from you.
