According to my information, Louis McBirnie was born on June 9, 1887, in Cambusnethan, Calderhead, Lanark, Scotland. His parents were William McBirnie and Catherine McGovern McBirnie.
In birth order, his siblings were Alexander, Rose Ann, Patrick, Catherine, William, Joseph, [Louis], and Agnes.
According to the 1891 Scottish census, Louis was living in Cambusnethan, Calderhead, Lanark, Scotland. In a second census, circa 1911(?), Louis was living in Shotts, Calderhead, Lanark, Scotland; occupation, coal miner.
Louis married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Leddy on January 31, 1913, in the Roman Catholic church, Shotts, Calderhead, Lanark, Scotland. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Leddy and Annie Burns.
I have no additional information on the children of Louis and Elizabeth McBirnie.
Louis died on November 14, 1918, at 53 Stane Place, Stane, Cambusnethan, district of Calderhead, county of Lanark, Scotland. He died of "Influenza" and "Broncho pneumonia." A brother, William, who was living at 12 Stane Place, Shotts, reported the death.
I am a descendant of Louis's older brother, Alexander.
