Re: William R McBroom

I'm sorry I can't help you with your research. I have hit a brick wall in my reaearch on the McBrooms. William Randolph could be the one you found in the census as he was born about 1832 in Virginia. He is my great grandfather by his second wife, Sarah Sally (Thrower)Hamby. I "heard" from one of his descendants from the first wife, Elizabeth Collins, that Wm R's father, "was born in Ireland, stayed in America for a while and returned to Ireland." They thought his father's name was John T or Joseph T McBroom.
Sorry, I just haven't been able to get back to that branch of my research.
