I just joined this forum, so I've a little catching up to do. Regarding Elizabeth McBroom and the Hardings, I may be able to fill in a more recent blank or two -- or reconfirm some info that others might already have.

My great aunt's maiden name was Elizabeth McBroom. She married Kenneth MacLemore (might be McLemore), and they resided in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She died in the late 1960s as I recall. I believe her mother's maiden name was Harding. She and her husband had no children. My sister, who is entrusted with the family bible, has more specifics, so I can find out if anyone is interested. It has McBrooms in it going back to the mid-1800s.

Elizabeth's brother was my grandfather, Samuel Harding McBroom, Sr., and her nephew was my father, Samuel Harding McBroom (1929-1981). The Harding name continues as a middle name in our current generation -- my brother's name is Kenneth Harding McBroom (b1961).

Best,

Michael McBroom
Houston, Texas
