Looking for information on the surname, McBride. I have information on one man named McBride, who has been mentioned in my g-g-grandfather's journal, soon to be published. This Mr. McBride co-owned a wholesale grocery business with another man named Sheldon, in New York City, in the 1850's. McBride and Sheldon were responsible for giving my relative a personal loan that enabled him to make the trip out west in the California Gold Rush. I have some anecdotal information that your family may find quite interesting. I would like to find out more about this Mr. McBride if possible.
