Hi Gavin,
We seem to have a difference in number of children for Annie and Denis.
Perhaps we can work on that further together to get some accurate data.
I have found a few bits and pieces from burial records in Australia. They
had 2 children called Annie. One born in 1882 and the other in 1887.
One died at 4 years old and I'm not sure of the death date for the other.
Mary and Dennis McBrearty are my great, great, great grandparents. My
grandad (James McBrearty, dentist) was the grandchild ofDr James
McBrearty (surgeon) who was a son of Denis and Mary. My grandparents
had 4 children, 3 girls and a boy. My dad (James McBrearty) married my
mum (Carol) and had 3 children. My brother is called James and he is
living in Australia now. He is 29. I'm next, at 27, and I am married with a
baby boy. My son is called MacKenzie. My sister, Nicola is 24. As
you can see it gets confusing talking about my family history because
all the males for the last 5 generations are called James McBrearty!
I hope this helps put me in the picture on the family tree. I would also like
to find more info about Mary and Dennis and further back into Scotland and
Ireland. Maybe you have some to share?
Do you have any brothers or sisters? It would be great to swap info
about our immediate families also as well as our ancestors of yesteryear.
Please write soon,
Sara
