My John McBriety (or McBriarty or, or or) immigrated from Ireland in 1851 with his wife, Margaret, and two other brothers (Michael and Patrick). There were also three sisters(Margaret, Sallie, and Ann), one of whom I know is buried in Oregon (Margaret - who married Richard Adams. They were located in the Illinois Valley of Southern Oregon and are buried there today. Sallie married an Owen Heron and I believe never immigrated from Ireland.

I wish I could help you with your John and Isabelle Shaw, but I do not know these names as being a part of my family. However, the names of Margaret, Mary, and Michael are extremely prevelent in my family. Would there happen to be anything in your family that might tie them together?

Good luck on your searches and keep in touch. We may just find out we're related!!
