I am a descendant of Walter McBeth and Mary Hardy of Leake Co., MS. I went to Standing Pine, MS a few years ago to the New Hope Cemetary where some of my relatives are buried. I found one grave with "W.A. McBeth,
Co. C, 6th Miss. Inf. CSA. On another tombstone I found "MOTHER, Dicie McBeth, Wife of W.A. McBeth, Mar. 27, 1853, Mar. 25,1938, SWEET REST". At this point I am not sure how these two tie with my family as I have really not spent a lot of time on this line. I know that my Walter was born in NC. If you will e-mail me I will be glad to share what I have.
