I am looking for information for a John Macbeth who ran a livery-stable in London in 1831.

There is a court case where John Shearman was indicted for stealing at St. Giles without, Cripplegate the property of John Macbeth.

He kept a livery-stable in Eagle-street, Holborn, and had no partner.

Mr. Macbeth, stable-keeper, Great Red Lion-street, Holborn, London. Chelmsford, 7th of May, 1831.

I think John Macbeth could be related to my great great grandmother Helen Macbeth who was married to Richard Cockrill (1818-1880).

In the 1861 English Census, I found:

St. James Square, Westminster St. James, Middlesex
2 Crown Court

Cockrill, Richard, Head, married, age 41, Comedian, b. Middlesex London
Cockrill, Ellen wife, married, age 24, b. same
Cockrill, Ellen, Daughter, age 4, b. Newcastle upon Tyne
Cockrill, Sabra Ann, Daughter, age 9 months, b. Middlesex London
Laybourne, Blank, Servant, single, age 16, house servant, b. same

My great grandmother, Sabra Ann Cockrill, was christened on 09 Jul 1861, St. James, Westminister, London, England. Parents are listed as Richard Cockrill and Helen. (McBeth)

Please contact me if you have any information for this John Macbeth.
