I'm related to the McBeth's of Clondermott (Glendermott), Londonderry. The family were Church of Ireland and the first evidence that I have is for John McBeth (1778-1863) and his wife Jane Ellis (no dates at present)
They had a daughter Elizabeth who married a Robert John McBeth ( a cousin?)in 1847. They had 8 children -
Catherin, Martha, John Ellis, Isabella, Elizabeth, Robert Hilands, William Alexander abd Thomas.

Only William left Ireland and he died in Toronto in 1911.

There seem to be clusters on McBeths in different parts of Londonderry and Donegall from the 1700's, if not before. They are probably connected but I haven't yet traced the connections.

If anyone has any relevant information I would be glad to hear from them.

Barry Williamson
