Hi David,
My ancestors were the McBeath family on the Prince of Wales that landed in 1813 at Fort Churchill. They later moved to Ontario (West Gwillimbury, Simcoe County) with many other families.
Did your family arrive from Sutherlandshire?
Alexander does not seem to be a familiar family name from this group. Andrew, Charles, John, William would be more of the family line, although with marriages other names start to emerge. Look forward to tracing back the line to see if there are connections.
