Could anyone tell me if they know of the McBee (McBea) that were from the Lower Mississippi Valley who are of Choctaw descent. I am looking for any information on this line. Does anyone know where I might find early indian marriage records around 1820-1840? The names I am looking for are McBee (McBea) Clontz or any variation of the name. The Clontz Clonts Claunts line is in with the McBee line.
My GGgrandmother was Ellender or Eleanor McBee born October 26 1830 In the lower Choctaw nation of the Mississippi Valley. Her mothers name was Ellen not sure of her fathers name. Ellender married my gggrandfather James Harvey Claunts. It is said that the name was spelled Clontz; Clonts: Klontz. James and Ellender had a daughter born in Coffee County Tennessee Hillsboro District in Feb. of 1853. James Harvey Claunts mothers name was Mary. It is said that they traveled with a family of Beattys' to Missouri and then on into Arkansas. I have a lot of information from 1857 to the present. I am looking for 1850 census records or anything else someone might add. If any part of this sound like someone you know please respond. Thank you
