Can you tell me what county in Tennessee in 1850 that James and Eleanor McBee were in. I am looking for my GGgrandparents James Harvey Claunts(may be spelled different) who married a Ellendor or Eleanor McBee. Eleanor was born in 1829. They had a daughter Mary Elizabeth Claunts born in Hillsboro which is now Coffee County Tennessee. I believe the marriage must have took place somewhere between 1850 and 1853. The McBees' were supposedly of Indian heritage or that is what I am told. I have other information from 1860 to the present but can't seem to find them in the 1850 census records anywhere. If you or anyone else can help me I would greatly appreciate it and would share what I have with you. Thanks for any help......
