IRVEN F. MCBEE was born Nov. 28, l864, in Ray County, Mo. His father and mother were ELIAS and SARAH MCBEE. When five years of age his parents removed to Decatur County, where he resided until the time of his death. About six years ago he lost the use of his mind but was not in a dangerous condition and after a few months seemed to rally. About a month preceding the taking of his own life, he was melancholy and brooded much over things that were trifling in themselves.

He was honest, frugal and highly spoken of by his neighbors and the business men with whom he dealt and his business affairs were in good condition. On March 5, l893, he was married to MISS NETTIE CRAFT. Four children were born to them and are now living. With the exception of this mental difficulty which could not fail of bringing a cloud, their home was a happy one. He died at his home near Weldon, April 29, l90l.
