Martha McBee/ Jackson Co. AL. 1850
Posted by: Nona Harwell Date: February 08, 2002 at 14:58:01
  of 972

Martha McBee was listed with the family of George W. Lore in the 1850 Census for Jackson Co., Alabama as follows:

Lore, George W., age 26, Tanner, born Alabama
Martha, age 21, born Tennessee
Cinthia, age 16, born Tennessee
Living in the same household:
McBee, Martha, age 70, born Virginia
Isbel, William G., age 27, Grocery Keeper, born Alabama

This same George W. Lore was evidently listed in the 1860 Census for Osage Co., Missouri, living next door to my gggrandparents, Stephen A. Lore and wife, Sarah Ann Williams.

It is probable that McBee was Martha's married name and is possible that she was the grandmother of the George W., Martha, and Cinthia Lore living in the same household.

Any information would be appreciated. I will gladly share the information I have on this family.
