Bain, McBain settled in NC 1700's

My family is tracing their ancestors in Scotland. We have owned land in Fayetteville NC since the 1790's but don't have the exact link to Scotland. The original owners were McBain, but eventually changed the name to Bain. We found a McBain family memorial in Kinchyle, Scotland but would like to find more information. If you can help, please email me. Thanks!
