Hi This may be coincdence. My father was called Henry Patrick McAuley born March 1911 he was the third son of Patrick & Mary Kelly
(Mary was originally from Donaghmore Co Tyrone and resided in Larne Co Antrim when she and her extended family came as stitchers to a local factory) My fathers granfather was also called Patrick but we do know that he had brothers who emigrated to America.
My grandfather was born in 1879 in Waterfoot
Co Antrim and died in 1959 in Larne Co Antrim
His father was a Mail coach driver travelling between Larne and Ballycastle and assuming that one of his sons was born in 1879 then he would possibly have been born
around 1835-1840. To my knowdledge he had three sons, one being my grand father, and one daughter.
At that time the name Henry was not a popular
christan name and my father was obviously named after some relation as was the then custom. Certainly there were no Henry's on his mothers side.
I have recently retired and intend to research my family history.
Shoul I turn anything up I will keep tou informed.
