Amy,

I sent an e-mail to the address you listed in 2002. I hope you receive this.

Margaret Lavelle McAndrew from Belmullet,Ireland was my great grandmother. I'm certain that she was the Aunt that you are asking about. She was married to John McAndrew from Ballina.

The onward address of 1627 Church Ave in Scranton was their home. It's still standing. My grandfather Anthony was born in that house. The house that my grandfather and grandmother bought a few blocks away on Putnam St. is where I grew up.

My grandfather's brother Robert was much younger than him. His youngest daughter, Roberta Kane, who is about 10 years older than me (I'm 55), still lives in Scranton and might be able to shed some light on Rose since she would have been her dad's first cousin.

I'm very excited about this. I knew my great grandparent's names and where they were from but I never knew the names of my great great grandparents. I've visted Ireland several times and I've always wondered whether there was any family left there.

I really hope to hear from you soon.

Joe McAndrew
