Still looking for info on John McAlpine, b. 24 Jun 1764 "at sea," d. 23 Aug 1842 at Greenbush (now Rensselaer), Rensselaer, New York. Married Caroline Keefer (aka Cataline Keefer or Cataline Keefin). John was a private in Capt. James Graham's regiment in the Revolution. Some of their children were baptized in the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Greenbush, NY.

George McAlpine, b. about 09 Jun 1818 in New York; d. 23 Jul 1879 in Silver Creek, Cass, Michigan (buried Keeler, MI). Married Minerva J. Palmer, b. about 1824 in New York, d. 1892, buried in Keeler, MI.

-- John McAlpine, b. 28 Jan 1845 in Post Creek, Catlin, Chemung Co., NY; d. 05 Nov 1910 in Hartford, Michigan (buried Keeler, MI); m. Mary Phillips; Served in Birge's Western Sharpshooters in the Civil War.
-- Franklin Guideon McAlpine, b. 13 Feb 1847 in Orange, Schuyler Co., New York; d. 28 Apr 1905 in Jackson, MI(buried Keeler, MI); m. 15 Aug 1872 Ida C. Chaplin; also served in Birge's Western Sharpshooters in the Civil War.
-- Byron Selah McAlpine, b. 28 Apr 1849 in New York; d. 03 Feb 1901 in Kosciusko Co, Indiana; m. 1874 to Edith Chaplin.

-- Elmer Jerome McAlpine, b. about 1853 in Michigan or New York; d. 10 (or 12) Dec 1895 in Indiana.

-- George W. McAlpine, b. Feb 1860 in Michigan; m about 1892 to Ivie L. ???.
-- Cora B. McAlpine, b. about 1863 in Michigan; m. George Hagy.
-- Alice M. McAlpine, b. about 1866.
-- Schuyler McAlpine, b. about 1869 in Michigan; m. Bessie ???.
