RE: My earliest McAloney ancestor is John McAloney, born 1826. He came to New Brunswick with his widowed mother, Margaret, born 1803 and siblings: Robert born 1827, Eliza born 1831, Anna I. born 1834, Sarah M. born 1838, and Rebecca F. born 1841. John married Matilda Matthews in 1848 and they had the following children: William Allan born 1849, George Alfred born 1851, Melissa born 1853, John Edward born 1856 (my g gfather), Martha A. born 1857, James Henry born 1860, Nathaniel Grant born 1862, Thomas A. born 1864, Mary Ann born 186?, and Freeman W. born ? John is buried in a cemetery in Fundy National Park, which is near Point Wolfe, where they lived. After his death, Matilda and many of the children moved to Westbrook, Maine. I have more information on many of these descendants. If you'd like to add it to your database, please email me.
