I have a great great grand father Charles McAllister (born 1820c) married to Mary Ann Stewart ( born 1820c ). They also had a son Robert(born 1859) who married Margaret McKiernan ( born 1859 ) at Ballycastle 01/01/1879.They had a son Charles born in Ireland 1800 and moved over to Scotland shortly after. In the 1881 sensus Margaret is listed as aged 22yrs thus making her birth year 1859. They had a further 9 children all born in Scotland between 1803 and 1901( 7 sons & 2 daughters). Margaret died in 1923 in Rutherglen or Cambuslang, still to confirm this. Robert died 19/03/1929 in Rutherglen aged 70 yrs. Can't help you with Mary McAllister as i am finding it very hard to find any details in Ireland.I am also checking out the Culfreightrin route at present.Hope this is of some interest to yourself, and if my Margaret it related to your Charles could you please confirm.
