Thanks, Peony, for the data on Gertrude. You don't need to bother your relations in Moira - I was simply double-checking the area in which Hugh McAlister's family lived. I never give details of living descendants online either!
Thanks for the info. If you ever come happen to come across anything on the Bloomer connection, I should be interested in knowing it. My great-great-grandmother was a lady named Anne Bloomer, who married William Knox of Dernaborey. Anne's family were from Eglish. I *think* she was a great-Aunt of Elizabeth McAllister (nee Bloomer).
