This might help someone--not related. Johnston County Capital-Democrat Tishomingo, Oklahoma September 17, 1925 Family Reunion The family reunion to celebratete the 70th birthday of W. A. MCALISTER, held August 25th, at his residence 1 ½ miles north of Ravia was a grand success. The near relatives present were: MRS. H. L. CRY of Hubbard City, Texas, sister; MRS. M. J. COLLINS of Mt. Calm, Texas, sister; J. T. MCALISTER of Newark, Texas, brother; MRS. PEARL STANDRIDGE of Olney, Texas, daughter; RUBY MCALISTER of Ravia, granddaughter; FLOYD and BABY JACK STANDRIDGE of Holiday, Texas, grandsons. Forty other relatives consisting of nephews and nieces attended. Religious services were conducted by Rev. JOHN FURGERSON of Davis. A nice shady grove had been trimmed and seats placed to accommodate the guests. The fatted calf was barbecued and a long table built and an old fashioned picnic dinner was bountifully spread. Over 100 persons attended. Six years ago, a family reunion was held at his home and the above named sisters and brothers were present including the following not present this time: T. H. MCALISTER of Mead, brother; LEE R. MCALISTER of Sacremento, California, son; and R. M. LAW of Littlefield, Texas, half-brother. Our aim is to give a public dinner every five years of our life and we get to be 100 years old, we will butcher and barbecue a whole herd of beeves and invite the citizens of Johnston County to take dinner with us. Signed by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. MCALISTER. Notify Administrator about this message?
