A biography/family history of Glenn McAlister is included in "Montana, Its History and Biography", Vol 2, Page 210.
Glenn was born, 2 Nov 1873, to James T. & Ruth E. (Lovitt) McAlister. The McAlister family is of Scotch-Irish & immigrated to America in the Colonial days.
Glenn was educated in LaHarpe & Abingdon, IL. 1896, to Butte, Montana, where he worked as an architect & engineer. In 1901, he went to Billings, MT, where he was an architect & in 1903, to Sheridan, WY. Returned to Billings in 1905, where he was a successful architect. Also had a ranch of 640 acres located in Custer County, MT.
In 1905, at Slack, Wyoming, Glenn married Miss Beatrix May Powers. Children: Beatrix Virginia, b. 1909: Raymond Powers, b. 1911.
