I am trying to find the parents of my great-grandmother Ellen "Lizzie" Talbert who was born abt 1885 in Ohio. She married in Jackson Co., Ohio. I have found the following birth record from Lawrence Co. which borders on Jackson Co.:

Charles W. Talbert and Virginia McCalister. Daughter Ellen E. Talbert Birth: 22 FEB 1885 Symmes Twp, Lawrence Co., Ohio

Unfortunately, I don't know of this is my Ellen's birth record.

I have found a Jennie McAlister, age 20, on the 1880 census in Clermont, Ohio, living with her mother Elizabeth age 63 b. Indiana, but I am not sure she is the right Virginia McAlister.

Does anyone have information about this couple?
