McAlister (born Dec. 1851-died 24 Sept. 1929), son of Jesse Allen McAlister and Mary Rogers, married to Eugenia Smith (1854-1900). Their children: (1) Mary, born about 1873; (2)Leitha(?), born about 1875; (3) Mack Duffie (McDuffie?), born 19 August 1878 in Anderson Co., SC, died 29 Nov. 1954 in And. Co., buried at Shiloh Methodist Church, Piedmont, SC, married to (1) Victoria Watson and (2) Mary Jane Gilliland; (4) James Allen, born 15 Feb. 1880, died 10 Nov. 1951, buried at Smith Grove Baptist Church, Easley, SC, Married to Nora Ellison; (5) William Edgar, born 15 May 1883 in Anderson Co., SC, died 2 January, 1961, in Anderson Co., married to Theola Rogers; (6) Joseph C., born 29 Dec. 1889, died 30 June 1960, buried at Big Creek Baptist Church, Williamston, SC, married to Leila Hammonds; (7) Sarah Ola, born 6 Dec. 1891, died 30 Dec. 1966 in Anderson Co., married to (1) Jesse Botts and (2) William Walter Hammonds; (8) Jesse Harrison, born 3 May 1893, died March 1973, married to Lorene N.?; (9) David Wister, born 15 June 1896 in Anderson Co., died 15 Feb. 1988 in Oconee Co., SC, married to Pearl Cummings.
