John A. McAlister b. approx 1848 in Scotland, settled in PA. Wife unknown. Had the following children: JOHN went to WA, DANIEL went to WA, KATHRYN in PA,SUSAN went to WA, BARBARA went to WA, WILLIAM (1875-1956) settled in Irwin, PA, he is our direct ancestor. WILLIAM M/JESSIE (ARMSTRONG)their children were: JESSIE THORNBERG, JOHN, WILLIAM JR., KATHRYN FEJES, ELSIE PLEASANT/SHANNON/NEELY, JAMES R. and CLARENCE R.(1916-1986)
