My great grandfather, Bernard McLindon (born 1847), was married to Elizabeth Brennan. They came over and settled in New York State. They had two children, James (my grandfather) and John McLindon. Apparently they originated in County Down Ireland and the original spelling of McLindon was McAlindon/McAlinden. Is there any possible connection?
