I too have been very interested in this line of the McAfee family, as I am also a descendent of Archibald Marion McAfee....his grandson Stanley Ketron was my paternal grandfather. I have been researching this line for some time, and always come to a dead end with Archibald Marion's father Archibald, and would love information on Archibald's Scottish or Irish roots. I am trying to trace his lineage and I can't seem to get any further than he was born in Pennsylvania in 1783, was married to Bethia Garoutte in Pleasant Mills, NJ, and had nine children. He was the one who donated the land for Mt. Tabor church, and is also buried there. I have several pictures of the cemetery that I took on a trip there with my daughter in 2008.
One of these nine children was named John, and he was married to Esther Hopton, and I believe moved to Gasconade County, Missouri. This may be the John you are interested in.
If any one has more information on Archibald's origin, I would love to hear about it.
