Would dearly love to know if MAT McGUIRE was connected to that family for he married 2nd wife MARY FRANCIS McAFEE the daughter of SPENCER ALVIN McAFEE and SURILDA JANE DUNEHEW. Mat McGUIRE did not take to having a half- Indian step daughter and so Spencer and his wife took their granddaughter to live with them, per our oral history. It wasn't long before Mary Francis McAFee and Mat McGuire divoreced but they had two children, SPENCER KEEF McGUIRE who died in 1900 and his sister BETTY McGUIRE who then was born in 1900 and married JAMES CALVIN MAXEY, Sr. b. 1893 AR. Some of their children ( Betty McGuire and James Maxey's ) were born in AR, OK, and KS, as I recall.

Mary Francis McAfee was my G. Grandmother and her first born daughter, EDNA SURELDA WEAVER was my Grandmother who md. SAMUEL BASCUM DAVIDSON.
